Large Ancient Roman Empire Axe Weapon Head Tool Circa 200-400 AD Germany

  

For sale is this incredible EXTREMELY RARE authentic ancient European iron battle weapon blade! This weapon tip would have once been mounted on the end of a long wooden pole, and would have been used like an axe or hammer!

Note its size, this piece is relatively large and would look amazing on display! As a multi-use weapon/tool, this would have been a prime tool to have. Pieces in this style were common in central Europe modern day Germany, France, Italy, etc. , Northern Europe Norse regions, modern day UK, etc.

, and in Eastern Europe Kievan Rus, modern day Russia, Ukraine, Poland, etc. This weapon head is made of a heavy and firm iron alloy.

It is rusted from years of being buried, but his still firm. There might have been some cleaning done to it a little bit for displaying, but it is mostly in its natural condition.

It was located in Central Europe (Germany) where it was added to a German collection. This pieces design is consistent with other pieces known to have been used for this purpose.

It is made of iron, and has a good bit of rust on it. Note from the photos the wear, rust, and heavy pitting. This is an incredible find.
